That I crawled out of the shit and soared sky high,

Because if you want to achieve something, you have to be able to bite.
Everyone has a role to play in life
I play the role of a wolf. Why?
Look at the world. There are wolves everywhere.
I walk down the street, I scan the scene,
I check who I’m going to bite and who I need to keep quiet around.
Because honestly, in the end, it’s eat or be eaten.
‘Donkeyshot Gangstershit’ is about the thrill of the big life. If you’re a rock, you can’t break! But the question is, if you’re firmly rooted in harsh reality, can you still breathe freely? Because men might not be allowed to cry, but wolves can!

ABOUT THE MAKERS
Joeri Happel completed a Master’s degree in Acting at KASK Ghent and, as a theatre maker and actor, is a member of the collectives Camping Sunset and Werktoneel. As an independent theatre collective, Werktoneel is one of NTGent’s resident companies. They are known for their idiosyncratic, physical style of performance and have created, amongst others, ‘Giants’, ‘Gruis/aan de twijfel’ and ‘Aan de Start van de Brug’. Joeri has also performed with Compagnie de Koe and Olympique Dramatique/Toneelhuis (‘Enemy of the People’). At Victoria Deluxe, he worked with the group Lof der Zotheid on a multi-year project exploring mental vulnerability.
Ali Can Ünal is a theatre maker and actor. He graduated from RITCS Brussels in 2019 with a degree in drama and directing, having performed in ‘Hamamci’. He has performed with, amongst others, Camping Sunset (‘Ten Oorlog’), Walpurgis, Opera De Munt, Cie Cecilia (‘De Puinstraat’) and in the children’s show ‘De Koning eet…’, which he created together with Joeri Happel for Het Zuidelijk Toneel. He is known in many living rooms as Aziz the hairdresser from the Canvas TV series ‘Zonder Afspraak’. Since 2022, he has been creating his own work with Liselot Siddiki, Joeri Happel and Menco Kircz under the name Klub Kilim.
Armin Mola is an actor, rapper and songwriter. At the Lemmens Institute, he created ‘I Love (And Hate) You, Iran’, a solo piece which he reworked into a full-length production in 2023 under the guidance of fABULEUS. As part of KASK Gent Drama, he created its follow-up, ‘I Love (And Hate) You, Belgium’. The production was selected for Theater Aan Zee, as was ‘Primo Volo’. Armin recently appeared in ‘About Elly’ (tg STAN) and ‘Barzakh’ (Opera Ballet Vlaanderen) and will soon be appearing in ‘Romeo & Juul’ (Flemish Symphony Orchestra). On television, he made his breakthrough as Basim in the Ketnet series ‘Hoodie’ and has appeared in programmes including ‘Vloglab #Stories’ and ‘De Raad van Soekie’.
